Abstract:The key nurse specialists involved in the management of colorectal cancer include the colorectal nurse specialist, the stoma therapist and the chemotherapy nurse specialist. The specialist nurse must integrate management, consultation, research and education functions alongside the clinical role. The specialist nurse provides expert advice and information and support and helps the person to live with their diagnosis of cancer.
