Biography
Hanaa is the Head of the Bournemouth University Business School, leading strategy, academic direction and the overall staff and student experience across one of the university’s largest schools. Her leadership is people-centred, steady and outcomes driven . She drives a strong professional culture, strengthens external partnerships, and ensures programmes remain aligned with employer needs and national skills priorities. She also leads the School’s focus on quality, accreditation, and research development, positioning it as an industry-connected and future-looking business school.
Her research interests are in Consumer Behaviour, with a particular focus on Service Marketing and Hospitality Management. She has published in leading international journals including Psychology & Marketing, Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management and the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management. Her current projects explore how gender, culture and identity shape travel behaviour and service experiences...
She supervises several PhD students working on areas such as tourism development in the Middle East, emotional labour in hospitality, and women’s travel behaviour, contributing to the School’s growing postgraduate research community.
