Biography
Fellow of the Association for Project Management, Fellow of Advance Higher Education, Associate Editor for Project Management Research and Practice, Project Management Expert for the Centre for Project Management at the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka and member of the Environment and Threats Research Group at BU. My research explores the creative, ethical and human dimensions of projects and how projects can be managed responsibly. I am co-founder of Responsible Project Management. Currently, I am leading research on developing the competencies needs for more sustainable behaviours using project-based scenarios, online and using virtual reality. We are also researching how stakeholder engagement can be enhanced for projects managed in the context of refugee camps, such as the Rohingya camps in Bangladesh. In 2017 I was the recipient of the APM’s Herbert Walton Award for my research on social media in the practice of project management, and in 2019 I received awards from PMI (UK) for my teaching and research... Before joining academia, I was responsible for ICT projects and strategy development in local government, financial services and the voluntary sector.
