Biography

I am a geographer with an interest in socio-environmental systems, land use and land cover change and cultural geography. I am particularly interested in how different social, cultural and demographic factors influence land use and land cover change and I typically use remote sensing, statistical modelling and qualitative and quantitative household surveys to tackle such questions. My work is rooted in geography, but my interests extend to environmental history, biology, cultural studies, social psychology and political science.
