Biography
Sue Green is a Registered Nurse and Professor of Nursing whose academic and clinical expertise lies in clinical nutrition, with a particular emphasis on nutritional care delivered by nurses. She has experience in both acute and continuing care settings, and has held appointments at the Universities of Leeds, Kingston, Hull, and Southampton prior to joining Bournemouth University in 2018.
Her commitment to advancing clinical academic roles for nurses is reflected in her decade-long tenure in funded clinical academic posts (2009–2018), integrating research activity with clinical practice. She continued her clinical contribution as a Nutrition Nurse seconded to Solent NHS Trust until 2022.
Sue enjoys teaching and learning across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. She welcomes enquiries from prospective PhD candidates with interests aligned to clinical nutrition and nursing practice.
