Biography
Danielle is a PhD researcher in Psychology at Bournemouth University, specialising in healthy sustainable eating behaviours. She uses mixed methods to explore the psychological, social, and structural factors influencing sustainable dietary choices in the UK, aiming to identify key barriers and facilitators, and to develop evidence-based strategies for lasting behaviour change.
Her research sits at the intersection of psychology, public health, and nutrition, with broader interests in nutrition security, disordered eating, and the links between diet and mental health. Danielle holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology. She is a member of the British Psychological Society, including the Division of Health Psychology, and holds Associate Fellow status with the Higher Education Academy.
Danielle contributes to undergraduate teaching across Psychology, Nutrition, and Rehabilitation and Sports Science, delivering content on behaviour change, research methods, and core psychological theory... She is passionate about making research and teaching engaging, showing students how exciting science can be, and committed to making scientific research impactful and accessible beyond academic settings.
