Biography
I am a Lecturer in Criminology who joined Bournemouth University in September 2022. I have a MSc in Crime, Safety and Justice from Cardiff University (2015). My PhD explored the role of problem-oriented policing in the burglary drop in England and Wales (Nottingham Trent University, NTU, 2015-2019). While I was doing my PhD, I worked as a Research Fellow for the Quantitative and Spatial Criminology Research Group at NTU (2018-2019). I then joined the Centre for Children, Young People and Families at NTU as a Research Fellow and worked there until I joined Bournemouth University. I am a quantitative criminologist and teach quantitative research methods.
Research
My research interests are policing (particularly problem-oriented policing), victimology (both adult and child victims of crime), the crime drop, neighbourhood watch, and gambling. I welcome PhD students who are interested in similar areas.
