Biography

Sara Sayer studied BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy at the University of Hertfordshire which included a Sandwich year in professional rugby union in Australia. After graduating in 2012, Sara worked in private practice and for local sports teams before undertaking a Masters (pre-registration) in Physiotherapy at Oxford Brookes.

After graduating from her Masters degree, Sara worked for the NHS in a specialist Spinal Injuries Rehabilitation Centre. Sara then returned to working in the sports sector where she was the Senior Academy Physiotherapist at AFC Bournemouth, overseeing the medical provision for the Academy players.

Sara started working at Bournemouth University in 2020 and has research interests in women's health, rehabilitation and injury risk mitigation.
