I qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of East London in 1999. My junior rotations were in London after which I travelled and worked as a physiotherapist in New Zealand. On returning home I developed my passion for Neuro-physiotherapy. I also enjoyed Learning Disabilities in Manchester before settling down in Bournemouth.

I worked in UHD for 20 years in Neurology and Older People’s Medicine. 16 of those were at the Day Hospital in Christchurch where I began my interest in Vestibular assessment and rehabilitation. I helped to develop the Epley Service and then moved to the Musculoskeletal Department to set up a Vestibular service. From this I was invited to teach Vestibular Rehabilitation at BU.

My experience of working at BU since 2016 has developed my passion for teaching and enhanced my pedagogic skills. I want to use my vast clinical experience from my NHS role to enable meaningful research, competent professional practice and inspirational student education.
