Biography

Dr Andy Pulman is a Post Doctoral Researcher.

Andy is the author of a number of articles on technology, health, social care and eLearning in addition to a pocket study skills book – Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts & More – published in 2009.

His current research interests include social care, health inequalities, digital health, digital professionalism, the use of technology to improve health and interesting technology related phenomena like divided attention disorder.

Research

Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (April 2024 - April 2026)

Part-time post funded by MS TRUST (formerly MSRTE).

Working as a part of the project team converting the FACETS Digital Toolkit for people with Multiple Sclerosis (pwMS) to IOS, testing the toolkit with three different groups of users and blending app based therapy within the FACETS programme.

Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (July 2024 - March 2026)

Part-time post funded by NIHR ARC Wessex.

Developing opportunities for building research engagement and capacity across HEIs and the social care sector in Wessex and working with embedded researchers in social care organisations to build research capacity.

Particular focus on building carer research and engaging carers in developing and undertaking research, with work helping to inform the development of social care research within the NIHR ARC Wessex region.
