Biography
Benjamin is a Lecturer (Academic) in Computing. He completed his PhD at the University of Dundee in 2018, and holds a B.Sc in Applied Computing also from the University of Dundee.
Benjamin’s research focus is within Human Computer Interaction, specifically Accessibility where he focuses on developing technology to help people with hearing loss. His doctoral research focused on solutions to enhance the acquisition of speechreading (commonly called lipreading).
Benjamin has served as an Associate Chair (AC) of the CHI2020 Full Paper Program Committee, and was an AC for CHI Late Breaking Work (LBW) Program Committee for CHI2019 and CHI2018. Since 2014, Benjamin has reviewed over 44 papers in SIGCHI venues, with two special recognitions for outstanding reviews (1 recognition for CHI 2017 Papers and Notes, 1 recognition for MobileHCI 2019 Papers).
