Biography

Gelareh is Head of Centre for Fusion Learning Innovation and Excellence and Professor in Digital Transformation at Bournemouth University. Her professional background is in the financial sector, and she has over 25 years’ experience in Higher Education, holding leadership positions through most of her career. Her profile evidences a successful track record in leading and delivering cross-university projects to transform the quality of learning and teaching for excellent student experience. In previous roles, including Deputy Dean for Education and Director of Accreditation in the Business School, she led successful AACSB accreditation. Gelareh chaired the Technology Enhanced Learning Strategy Forum and led the Vision for Learning project to introduce a new student-centred learning environment. More recently, Gelareh led the university-wide implementation of the Jisc Learning Analytics to enable diagnostic reporting for staff to better support the student success journey and she led the University’s successful Race Equality Charter application to achieve a bronze award...
