Research

My main area of research is innovation adoption, behaviour, and communication, with a particular focus on healthcare. I am especially interested in the adoption and implementation of innovative interventions, both technological (such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)) and non-technological (such as positive storytelling platforms), to address real-world healthcare challenges.

With a pragmatic approach to research, I am committed to ensuring that innovation serves as a tool to effectively solve healthcare problems. I am currently the Cluster Head of the Communicating Health Innovations Group at the Centre for Science, Health and Data Communication Research, collaborating with international partners to understand and improve health innovation adoption and communication within the healthcare industry.

My current projects include exploring the use of Virtual Reality for pain management and leading the Positive Storytelling (@NHSBLUEHEROES) project, which uses storytelling as an intervention platform to enhance compassion satisfaction while reducing fatigue and stress among healthcare workers.I am interested in application of new technologies in healthcare and currently exploring the use of Virtual Reality in pain management. Another project is positive storytelling (@NHSBLUEHEROES), as a way of communicating positive care outcome to healthcare workers.
