Biography

I seek to provide thought leadership in relational approaches to higher education drawing from sustained experience in academic leadership, balancing work with caring responsibilities. I aim to be an excellent educator with a key focus on the student experience. My teaching focusses on Relationship Marketing, the essence of which I see as 'to know and be known'. My institutional leadership embraces student research, sustainability and alumni relations working with academic and professional services colleagues to deliver best practice in these realms.

My focus is on a relational, collaborative and co-created strategy. This approach is based on thinking about interactions within Higher Education and is informed by a desire to maintain and enhance connections between students, alumni, academics and their institutions. The academic-student relationship is at the heart of my thinking and practice as an educator.
